The Boat In Gosport (Haslar) marina.
My First Stop, Alum Bay (Isle of White). This is were that colored sand comes from
Next Stop Yarmouth, sorry no photos, as we sent straight in to the pub:-) A night time sail to Alderney. I was sea sick:-( No not 'cos of the beer, but because of the fact the engine got a diesel leak. Not to be recommended the smell of hot, un-burnt diesel fumes.
Alderney next morning.
Then went set off for Guernsey, via Herm. Hmmm, crappy weather:-(
Here we are in St. Peter Port. The weather seems a lot nicer to day.
Then we went on to Sark. Very hot and exhausting climb from Dixicot bay, needless to say, we ended up in the Pub. Really cheap in Sark, £1.50for a 500ml can.
After that, a night sail, the second of the trip. I was not sick on this time:-) we anchored off of Isle de Bréhat, a bit like Sark, but French.
After a day spent walking around the Island, we left for our night time stop over in Paimpol. Next morning we left for Jersey. First Photos are leaving Paimpol.
We spent the night in St. Helier. In the morning we left for the French "Channel Islands" Iles Chausey. The photos below are of Jersey as we leave, and on the way to Iles Chausey
We stopped off on Grand Isle, this island you can, and we did walk around it in 20mins.
We then left for Granville, about 9nm away, we stopped there for the night, as it was 23:30Hrs and a Sunday when we got in, it was very hard to find an open bar, but we did so that was OK. We left in the Morning, heading out for St. Malo, our final port of call.
Photos below are approaching St. Malo. Getting ready to "Lock in" we are joined by a ship rather larger than our selves.
The following are Shots taken in and around St. Malo, a major piss up then occurred, as each crew went ashore for a week of Partying. Photos you should look at are a before and after of me (not a good idea)
Which one before, and which one is after??? Oh never mind.
Views of St. Malo, all decked out with 1000's of ships.
I got the chance to go on board a Tall Ship, called Cuauhtemoc, a Mexican ship and these guys know how to party. Also it is one mother of a ship, it message in at over 100metres
A few more photos of the flotilla of ships, all in dressage with signal flags up. First is from the stern of Storyline, looking forward, in to the cockpit, Doh! second is better, from the port rear quarter.
And finally some shots, of the tall ships at night, did not come out very well, but if you were there, the ships had lights all over then.
